T-Mobile 3g Coverage
T-Mobile have been strong competitors in the mobile industry and as such, have ensured that the service they provide is the best they can possibly offer. As Ofcom was asked to show the T-Mobile 3G coverage map for the UK, it now shows exactly what areas have excellent signal strength and what areas are less-so.
The other networks were required to do the same, and in a remarkable show, it’s T-mobile coverage that makes it one of the leading players in terms of signal for 3G broadband. The areas that other networks fail at are rural and the Scottish islands, but the Orkney Isles, the Shetlands and the Hebrides are all supplied with good signal strength according to the T-Mobile 3G coverage map. The signal covers all of the coastline around the whole of the UK, bar some parts of the eastern-edge of mainland Scotland.
As all of the networks experience, where there is less demand there is less signal strength as it doesn’t make viable business-sense to provide masts where not many people will use it. For example, in the Highlands of Scotland, central Wales and much of the Yorkshire Dales and Pennines, there is no service at all. This means that if you’re travelling through there on the train or by car, there will be a loss of service with T-mobile, however, the majority of other regions have “very good” to “excellent” signal strength.
Only a few pockets of dead service in the north of England and much of rural Scotland that are away from the major roads linking up the major cities in Scotland, have no service. Even Northern Ireland, which is an area that other networks do not cover very well, has excellent signal strength. According to the T-Mobile 3G coverage map, the T-Mobile coverage is a lot better than Vodafone, for example, and is popular for many phone users in and around the whole of the British Isles.
As with other networks, the T-Mobile coverage has a far stronger signal where they most populated areas of the UK are. This means that big cities such as Liverpool, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Bristol, Cornwall, Norwich and Birmingham have exceptional signal strength outdoors but might be affected by buildings and the density of them, and obviously London is the best place for T-Mobile signal strength. However, the way 3G signal works is affected by the building materials used, the density of those buildings, bad weather and tree cover. This means it’s important to check your area for those factors so that you can be assured of a great service, and checking the T-Mobile 3G coverage map should be your first port of call.
If you’re looking for a new network provider, check out T-Mobile coverage first to see what your home and workplaces’ signal strength are like.
